Flat plate type screen changer (FSC) and hand screen changer (HSC) have a sliding plate with two receptacle holes for filters. FSC is operated sliding plate by hydraulic power. There are two types of sliding speed, such as immediately sliding type and slow sliding type of around 30 second. And HSC is handled by hand.

 

Bolt type screen changer (BSC) consists of 2 ways channel and 2-bolts of each 1 filter, and bolts are operated by hydraulic piston.[MO1]  At filter cleaning, one bolt is changed filter and another bolt is continued filtering operation. This operation can be executed without stopping the extruder system.

 

BSC is lined up 4 filters type (2-bolts of each 2 filters), which are BSC-3/4 and BSC-BF.

BSC-3/4 is operated 1-filter-changing and 3-filters-working, and continued one by one at filter changing operation.

 

BSC-BF has an additional function of filter cleaning by polymer flow, which is 1-filter-cleaning by back flush and 3-filters-working without changing filter.
